States Visited Today

On the morning of Friday, July 3, 2020, we woke up quite early, 5 AM. We left the motel in Jackson, Wyoming as soon as we could and headed to the Jenny Lake area of Grand Teton National Park.

Upon arriving we took the trail around the lake, with a slight detour to an incorrect trail.

Rounding Jenny Lake

Hidden Falls was gorgeous and awe-inspiring.

Then we climbed the mountain to Inspiration Point. It had great views of the lake and mountains.

From there we went into Cascade Canyon.

We met a moose and its’ mother!

And a mule deer along the trail.

Many streams and great views of the mountains.

At the end of the trail we met some other critters.

From there we turned back and headed back down the valley. It took a bit longer as we had to stop for what seemed to be a few hundred people going up the trail. Going super early in the morning turned about to be a great idea since we had the trail mostly to ourselves on the way up.
Here is a map of the trail and a few pics from the way down.

We got in an insane amount of steps and floors just from this one trail alone! This was my favorite hike of the entire trip.

The second half of our day was spent in Yellowstone National Park. There were so many pictures taken there that it seemed like a good idea to split this day into two different posts. I hope you enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Grand Teton National Park!
